According to her Bachelor profile, Kristina’s hometown is Lexington, Kentucky but she was born in Russia and was adopted by an American family. Kristina revealed that originally she was born in Russia and lived in an orphanage for sometime before being adopted and moving to America. In her ABC bio, she said that the person she admires most are her parents because, “It takes courage to open your heart and home to four orphans and give them a life otherwise unobtainable.”
When asked who would she like to be for a day, Kristina said, “My biological mother. I’d like to know what she was going through when I was young and if choosing alcohol over kids was worth it.”

Kristina definitely had a very difficult childhood, but is definitely grateful for what she has. Wanting to share this piece of information with Nick means that she feels a connection with him, and wants him to get to know her better.
