General Hospital and Days of Our Lives is taking the drama up a notch with some cast changes. After Billy Miller’s exit from GH, new characters played by daytime vets promise to make the show more intense. Also, DOOL bids goodbye to one longtime character and sets the stage for the return of a fan favorite. Keep reading to find out who’s coming and who’s going in daytime soaps this week. 

Billy Miller’s Final GH Episode Airs

It was announced at the end of July that Billy Miller, who portrays Drew Cain on GH, would be leaving the show. His final episode aired on August 21, marking a disappointingly uneventful exit when Drew leaves for Afghanistan.

But it seems that GH has kept the door open for Drew’s return. In the meantime, Miller stars in the upcoming Apple TV series, Truth Be Told.

Big Top Academy Alum Michelle Argyris Comes to GH

French-Macedonian actress Michelle Argyris is set to make her GH debut in the week of August 26. Her character will reportedly be part of Alexis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) plotline.

Argyris’ last foray into daytime television was in 2016 in The Bold and the Beautiful. Most recently, she featured in Big Top Academy and Shadowhunters.

GH Adds Michael E. Knight to Cast

Daytime veteran Michael E. Knight is set to join GH. Details about his role haven’t been disclosed, but with the Emmy-winning All My Children alum on the show, the drama is surely going to be amazing.

Nadia Bjorlin Bids Farewell to DOOL This Week

Nadia Bjorlin, who has portrayed Chloe Lane on DOOL since 1999, confirmed that she’s departing the series again back in January 2019. Now Chloe’s final episode will air on August 29.

Bjorlin has portrayed Chloe on and off since 1999. She had last returned to the show in 2018. Fingers crossed, we haven’t seen the last of Chloe yet.

Robin Strasser Is Bringing Vivian Back to DOOL

ICYMI, the fiery villainess Vivian Alamain is being revived on DOOL. Louise Sorel couldn’t reprise the role this time due to scheduling conflicts. But Robin Strasser is filling in when Vivian makes her comeback on September 3.
