Doug Davidson Confirms His Return to Y&R

Y&R fans might recall there was some drama surrounding Doug Davidson last year. Fans were disappointed to see the longtime character fired and demanded Paul be brought back.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when Davidson appeared to settle his contract with Y&R and returned the the soap in March 2019. But since then, he’s had very limited screen time, with his last appearance being in a July 31 episode.

His loyal followers haven’t been shy about voicing their frustration. But lucky for them, Davidson recently confirmed his return with a tweet saying his comeback episode will air on September 10.

While we’re a little bummed we have to wait another month to see Paul, this might be a hint about the coming plot twist. Perhaps there’s some shady business going that requires the police chief to step in.

Wyatt the Scout Is Back on GH

Remember Wyatt Hoover, the little boy scout who appeared on GH in July 2018? Well, he’s back.

Patrick J. Gibbons, who first portrayed Wyatt, reprises his role as the boy scout who tried to help Peter August when he was held captive in a cabin by Liesl and Nina. Gibbons is no newbie to daytime, having played Sam Manning in One Life to Live from 2010 to 2012.

Constance Towers Drops a Bombshell with Her Return to GH

Constance Towers has been to Helena and back on GH and we’ve not only got confirmation that her episode airs on August 19, but also that she’s packing a major twist.

Towers is the third actress to portray meddling matriarch Helena Cassadine since she took over in 1997. Helena died a rather uneventful death on screen in 2015. But she has haunted many a character from the afterlife over the years, and Towers has been a recurring character ever since.

She returns as a guest once again, to show, through flashbacks, how Helena is the cause of the conflict between Shiloh and Drew when they were in Afghanistan. With Billy Miller’s final episode as Drew Cain set to air soon, could Helena’s flashback scene tie into that? We’ll just have to wait and see.

Melinda Trask has been a recurring character on DOOL since 2013, and now Laura Kai Chen is returning as the DA in the week of August 12. Trask was last seen on the show in January 2019.
