Jon Snow Is a Targaryen!
The episode sheds some light on the relationship between Daenerys and Jon Snow. Last episode, it was revealed that Rhaegar Targaryen might have annulled his marriage to Elia Martell, possibly to lawfully marry Lyanna Stark. We know that their union resulted in Jon Snow, but now that there is a chance he is a legitimate Targaryen, he could be the rightful heir to the Iron Throne. Daenerys, believing that she is the last living Targaryen, has been itching to occupy the Iron Throne, and lets nothing get in her way. With other signs of Jon’s Targaryen blood, like when Drogon lets Jon pet him, fans just need confirmation that he is no longer a bastard.
Heading Towards Incest?
Is Jon Snow related to Daenerys Targaryen? As confirmed in season 6, he is! Jon’s father was Prince Rhaegar Targaryen, Daenerys’ older brother, meaning she is Jon’s aunt. So if it turns out that Daenerys is in love with Jon Snow, and he feels the same way about her, they could follow the path of many Targaryen’s before them. Will Daenerys and Jon Snow marry? It looks like there is a strong attraction between the two, but how that plays out is yet to be seen. As only Bran Stark knows Jon’s true bloodline, and Jon is on the other side of the wall looking for a White Walker, when things will fall into place is anyone’s guess.
