The Bachelorette Is (Almost) Here!

After getting down on one knee and giving a heart-melting speech in The Bachelor season finale, Arie proposed to Becca with a huge Neil Lane rock.
However, there was more drama in store for fans. The Bachelor’s “After the Final Rose” special revealed that Arie had a change of heart, broke up with Becca, and decided Lauren was his true love after all, leaving Becca in the cold. (And all on national TV!)

In an interview with People, Becca shared how uncomfortable the turn of events was for her and said, “There was a better and more tactful way to do it. A breakup is hard enough, and to have it all filmed and have to re-watch it and know that people all across the country are watching you get your heart broken, it is embarrassing. It’s not fun. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. It was like a slap in the face.”
Bachelor Nation was left fuming with the turnaround and fans were sharpening their pitchforks for Arie. But we think it was Becca who had the last laugh after being chosen as The Bachelorette 2018!
As the next Bachelorette, Becca will have 30 lucky men vying to win her affections. What a great way to fix a broken heart!
When Does Filming of The Bachelorette Begin?
It will be a little bit of a wait until we get to see Becca Kufrin on The Bachelorette. Fans will be able to watch Becca’s journey starting on May 28, 2018.
But when does filming of the reality TV show actually begin? While there hasn’t been a date announced yet, blogger Reality Steve revealed that filming begins next week.
Going by last year’s Bachelorette timelines, we think that filming will start very soon. Last season’s Bachelorette, Rachel Lindsay, began filming for the show on March 16, 2017. The Bachelorette 2017 premiered on May 22.
As Becca waits for filming to begin, she’s already got a bit of a headstart by meeting five of the guys who will compete for her heart.
