What is Taylor Swift’s new song about? That’s what anyone who has heard Taylor Swift’s new song is asking. After endless teasing and countless speculations, Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” has finally hit the air waves and fans can’t stop talking about it! But who is She talking about in her new song? If you want to know the theories about the new Taylor Swift song lyrics, then scroll down.

Who is Taylor Swift’s New Song About?

After listening to the “Look What You Made Me Do” lyrics, many are curious about who Swift is referring to in her very revealing lyrics. If you haven’t guessed, Swift, 27, is not in the mood for the people that have wronged her and while there are different sides to every story, Swift is giving us hers. Swift’s sixth album titled Reputation won’t be released until November 10, but she gave us her latest song, which was originally released on YouTube on Thursday night. But who could the song be referring to? Well, the first names that come to mind for most people would be Kanye and Kim Kardashian West.

“I’ve got a list of names and yours is in red, underlined / I check it once, then I check it twice, oh!”

(If you were thinking of GoT‘s Arya Stark, then you’re not alone!)

Though the Wests aren’t mentioned directly (because where’s the fun in that?) fans believe that the popular line could be about Kim and Kanye since Swift has a historic feud with the rapper. They’ve been frenemies for far too long and now they’re feud has restarted, after the whole dispute about whether or not Kanye asked Swift for permission to put her in his song ‘Famous”. What’s Swift’s beef with Kim? Well, Kim wasn’t happy about Swift calling her man a liar and revealed a recording that allowed Kanye to use Swift in his song. Since then, the family as been at odds with the Reputation singer and it doesn’t look like they’re building bridges anytime soon.

“The world moves on, another day, another drama drama/ But not for me, not for me, all I think about is karma.”

It sounds like Swift isn’t forgetting anything this time and her petty meter might be off the charts! The song could also be about Katy Perry or Calvin Harris. Anyone and everyone could be on her list but there’s every chance that the Wests are in red and underlined. Kim also deleted any possibility of snake emojis from popping up on her Instagram after making a snake-related comment last year about Swift.

Shonda Rhimes, TGIT and Taylor Swift

While the world was waiting for even the slightest hint as to what Swift was up to, Shonda Rhimes was already five steps ahead! What felt like two seconds after hearing Swift’s new song, Rhimes already had a new #TGIT promo dedicated to Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder! We can’t even be mad, because the song fit the promo perfectly. Swift is a longtime fan of Rhimes’ shows, especially Grey’s Anatomy, and even named her cat after Dr. Meredith Grey. She also happens to be friends with Ellen Pompeo, who appeared in Swift’s music video for her hit song “Bad Blood”.

The full music video will make it’s debut during the 2017 Video Music Awards on Sunday August 27 at 8:00 p.m. EST.

Get ready!!! #TGIT returns THURSDAY, September 28th on ABC!
