Another Duggar on Board!
Joy-Anna Duggar’s husband, Austin Forsyth and herself, are expecting their first child together! The couple, who have always wanted to expand their family, are very excited to share the news with the world.
“Before we even were married, we were praying that God would give us kids and we’re so thankful that he has,” Joy-Anna said in a pregnancy announcement video posted by TLC on Wednesday.
“We’re so happy and thankful to announce that we’re expecting a baby! Every child is such a precious gift from God. I’m most looking forward to watching Austin as a dad and raising children together with him,” the Counting On star and 19 Kids and Counting alum told People, who first reported the news.
When Did Joy-Anna Duggar Get Married?
Joy-Anna, 19, and Austin, 23, met when his family moved to Arkansas and started attending the Duggar’s church. After a three-month engagement, Joy-Anna married Austin in May at Cross Church in Rogers, Arkansas. They exchanged vows in front of a crowded church of more than 1,000 guests, which consisted of family and friends. After the ceremony, the newlyweds went to Geneva, Switzerland for their honeymoon.
Joy-Anna is Excited for Parenthood
On becoming a mother, Joy-|Anna reflects fondly on the way she was raised with the guidance and support that was always given by her parents. “I have a lot of good memories of my mom teaching us and the quality time we spent together, and I’m really looking forward to doing that with my own children. It’s such an amazing thing to be a parent and raise children!” she said to People.
And as for Austin? “I’m really looking forward to the journey of this pregnancy and all the different stages it will bring,” he said. “It’s really exciting and I feel so blessed to be a dad! We are beyond thankful!”
