ShowsStyling Hollywood

Netflix is bringing us style galore with Jason Bolden and Adair Curtis’ new reality series Styling Hollywood, premiering on August 30. While Bolden is fashion guru to stars like Gabrielle Union, Taraji P. Henson, and Serena Williams, Curtis is an interior designer. Together, they run the L.A.-based firm JSN Studio, which is at the heart of the series. Though JSN is a vowel-less short-form for Jason, Curtis is a huge part of running the place. After all, he’s pretty experienced as you’ll find out in our Adair Curtis wiki.

Adair Curtis Is from New York

Adair Curtis was born on July 21, 1980 and grew up in Bronx, New York. His mother, Donna Curtis, still resides in New York.

Curtis grew up in a large family and has at least two sisters, Zulaikah and Dionne, and several cousins. Adair’s mother remarried in 2015 and goes by Donna Johnson now.

Me and my son.

St. Louis, Missouri native Jason Bolden came to New York after completing his college education in Chicago. He opened a vintage store in SoHo, which was the start of his styling business.

It’s not known when and how they met, but the couple has been together for many years. Curtis even shared throwback photos on Instagram from their early dating days.

Curtis Worked under Russell Simmons

Adair briefly studied digital media marketing strategy at New York University in 2012. However, he had been working long before that.

In 2006, he had been a brand manager at Def Jam Enterprises, co-founded by hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons. Simmons later appointed him VP of communications at his media company, Rush Communications, in 2009.

When Curtis and Bolden relocated to L.A., Curtis worked as General Manager at All Def Music in L.A. for a year.

Curtis seemingly had a close friendship with Rush, if their social media conversations are anything to go by. And Simmons also greatly valued Curtis’ work as his publicist.

Besides the producer, Curtis also counts SRC Records founder Steve Rifkind as a father figure and mentor.

Curtis Is the CEO of JSN Studio

Bolden and Curtis tied the knot on August 17, 2012 at the Surrey Hotel in New York. The following year, they moved to Los Angeles.

In 2014, they co-founded JSN Studio, a multi-disciplinary design firm. The heart of the brand is Bolden’s celebrity styling business and sunglasses collection.

But the couple also design the interiors of residential and commercial properties. Together, they decorated the Miami residence of Bolden’s first celebrity client, Gabrielle Union, and her NBA star husband, Dwyane Wade.

Now JSN Studio, with the couple and their mixed bag of employees, is at the focus of Styling Hollywood. Jason and Adair balance their marriage with running the business, and from what we can see in the trailer, Adair runs the place as CEO.

The trailer also hints that Curtis will sever at least one professional relationship during the show. The drama aside, this style power couple is going to give style and home makeovers to their celebrity friends, making Styling Hollywood one binge-worthy series.
