About the Show

The show (created by executive producers Dan Fogelman and Rick Singer) is about the first ever female baseball player (Kylie Bunbury) joining a men’s team, becoming the first woman in Major League Baseball. Now that she has made history, the whole world is watching her every move while she tries to learn the ins and outs of the game, both on and off the field. Fans will be impressed by the Pitch season 1 cast and will want to watch Pitch online.

Kylie Bunbury

Under the Dome star, Kylie Bunbury plays Ginny Baker, the first female baseball player in the MLB and is the star of the show. She is the newest pitcher for the San Diego Padres and has people wanting her either to fail or succeed at her new position. She is thrown into a media storm after making history and now has to learn how to navigate her way through the world of baseball. Now, Ginny has to try and stay on her teammates’ good sides, while not letting everyone down including her deceased father.

Mark Consuelos

Kingdom star, Mark Consuelos, plays Oscar, the team’s general manager and president. He wants to make Ginny feel as welcome as he can and happens to be a former baseball player himself. He wants to help her do her best and does what he can to deal with the extraordinary situation she’s now in. He is her mentor and will try his best to keep Ginny’s head in the game. He also has to think of the success or failure of the team, and has to consider all possible outcomes now that there’s a girl in the boys club.

Ali Larter

Heroes alum, Ali Larter plays Amelia Slater, who is Ginny’s sports agent. She also acts as Ginny’s mentor while she transitions into the new world of baseball. Larter replaced CSI alum, Elisabeth Shue, who left the project due to creative differences over the character’s direction in the show.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar

Franklin & Bash and Saved By the Bell alum Mark- Paul Gosselaar, plays the team’s captain, Mike Lawson. In the trailer, he doesn’t seem very fond of her being there—in fact, none of the other players do either. But we have a feeling he will come around and support her because in the end, they will have to stick together in order to win.

Michael Beach

The 100 star plays Bill Baker (Ginny’s deceased father), whom she looked up to during childhood. He taught her how to play the game and she struggles to stay on the path that he wanted her to be on.

Pitch premieres on Thursday, September 22 at 9:00 p.m. EST on Fox. And by the looks of it so far, we can tell it’s going to be a home run!
