How rich is Jessica Simpson? With songs, a reality TV show, and Jessica Simpson movies, the popstar has seemingly done it all. On July 10, Simpson turns 36 years old, and at her young age, the celebrity has already amassed a small fortune. A Jessica Simpson birthday party would probably be a lot of fun given just how much money she has to spend on her birthday bash.

If you look into Jessica Simpson net worth, you may be shocked to find out that she is worth $150 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Even for a celebrity, $150 million is a lot. Did Jessica Simpson become a multi-millionaire off of her singing career, Jessica Simpson movies, her Jessica Simpson Collection Company (which includes Jessica Simpson shoes, Jessica Simpson perfume and Jessica Simpson bedding), or from endorsements?

While her music and movies certainly added to her huge net worth, Simpson has been involved in a lot of different businesses, enterprises, and products. While she rose to fame as a pop singer and starred in her own reality TV show with former husband Nick Lachey, she has been busy working on many other projects since her show went off the air.

In fact, Jessica Simpson has been involved in everything from clothing to beauty products to household products. Her Jessica Simpson collection company has achieved over $1 billion in sales, and a lot of that money comes right back to Simpson!

Simpson’s ProjectsAmount Simpson Earned
Combined sales of retail empireOver $1 billion
Earnings from Weight Watchers endorsement$3-4 million
Salary from Employee of the Month$1 million
Salary from Dukes of Hazzard$4 million
Earnings from sales of album Do You Know$913,000
Earnings from sales of album Happy Christmas$705,000

Here are some of Jessica Simpson’s different business ventures over the years.

Jessica Simpson’s Singing Career

Jessica Simpson first became famous as a pop singer. In 1999, she released her first album, Sweet Kisses, which ended up selling 4 million copies worldwide. The song “I Wanna Love You Forever” rose to #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and made Jessica Simpson a household name.

She followed that up with the album Irresistible in 2012. While the albums sales were considered a disappointment, the album was certified gold and sold over 500,000 copies. One single from the album, also called “Irresistible”, rose to #2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

After Irresistible, Simpson began branching into movies, TV, and other business ventures, but she has still released albums over the years. In 2012, her album Do You Know sold over 800,000 copies and her Christmas-themed album, Happy Christmas, sold over 610,000 copies.

In total, Simpson has three gold albums and two multi-platinum albums, as well as seven Top 40 hits.

Jessica Simpson, TV Star

Jessica Simpson met Nick Lachey, lead singer of boyband 98 Degrees, at a party in 1999, and she says they fell in love on that night. By 2002, Lachey proposed to Simpson and the two were quickly married. The next year, Simpson and Lachey became reality TV stars, with the premiere show of Newlyweds. The show followed Simpson and her husband during their first year of marriage, revealing their day-to-day life in their house. The show became a TV sensation, attracting attention for moments like the one where Simpson wasn’t sure if “Chicken of the Sea” tuna was actually chicken or fish.

Jessica Simpson Movies

After dominating the recording industry and TV, Simpson moved onto movies. In 2005, Simpson took on the role of Daisy Duke in the Dukes of Hazzard remake. For the role, Simpson earned a $4 million salary. It was money well spent, as Simpson grabbed headlines around the world, particularly for racy scenes where she wore short-shorts (known as “Daisy Dukes”) and a bikini. The movie went on to gross over $80 million at the North American box office.

For her second role, Simpson played the love interest of Dane Cook’s retail worker hero in Employee of the Month. The comedy wasn’t as big of a success as Dukes of Hazzard, but Simpson still nabbed $1 million for her role in the movie.

Jessica Simpson’s Retail Empire

While Simpson has made millions from albums, TV, and movies, the bulk of her net worth has come from her business ventures, endorsements, and retail products. Simpson has launched a number of different product lines. There are Jessica Simpson shoes, Jessica Simpson perfume, and even Jessica Simpson bedding.

Simpson has also put her name on many clothing lines. For a day at the beach, you can wear Jessica Simpson sunglasses, a Jessica Simpson swimsuit, or for a classier event, you could wear Jessica Simpson heels. Many of the products are advertised on HGTV.

Simpson’s product lines have earned over $1 billion in sales. While not all of that money goes back to Simpson, enough does come back to her to ensure that her family can live in luxury for the rest of their lives.
