If you’ve watched Ax Men on History, you might be familiar with Stacey Robeson. He was a yarder operator on the show, which follows the dangerous job of logging crews in Oregon, Washington, and Montana. But as Ax Men season 10 wrapped up on September 12, 2019, longtime fans missed Robeson. What happened to Stacey Robeson? Sadly, he passed away last year.
Stacey Robeson Died in 2018
Oregon native, Stacey Robeson was reportedly born on May 11, 1980. According to his sister, Jalaina Robeson, he passed away on December 15, 2018.
In the season finale, Mike Pihl and his son took a moment to grief their colleague who passed away during filming. They, however, didn’t give any specifics about his death, it appears that Stacey died at home.

Although there are no statements from his family or closed one about the cause of his death, it is reported by some sources that he died in a logging accident.
A Facebook user commented that Robeson passed away from a heart attack in his sleep. This, however, hasn’t been verified and the cause of Robeson’s death is still not confirmed.

Jalaina set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for his funeral expenses and to help support his family. On it, she wrote that Stacey passed away “suddenly.” The page has raised more than $3,700 towards the $5,000 goal.

Robeson’s Family Moved to Virginia
Stacey is survived by his wife, Angela Wells Robeson; their three kids, Colton, Kailey, and Zoie; and his sister, along with the rest of the extended family.

He was the main breadwinner of the family that has now lost their main source of income. Jalaina has tried to raise funds to support her brother’s wife and kids.
In January, Jalaina posted an update on the fundraising page stating that Angela and the kids have moved from Oregon to Virginia. Among the many hardships Angela is facing, she struggled with a broken heater during the winter.
Shortly after the update, Angela thanked everyone for their support. There haven’t been any updates on them since.

Robeson Was on Ax Men
Stacey Robeson was part of Big Gun Logging, with owner Levi Brown (previously part of Pihl Logging) and his brother Luke. The Western Oregon-based company made its debut on Ax Men in season 5 and also appeared in season 6.
Mike Pihl Logging was one of the first crews to express their condolences to Robeson’s family.
