Kelsey Henson was born on March 5, 1990 and is a native of Alberta in Canada. She attended the University of Alberta where she acquired her certificate in Occupational Health & Safety in 2014.
She previously worked as a financial services representative in Alberta. After college, she was a project administrator and junior safety adviser at the Suncor Base Plant in Fort McMurray. She later worked as a building operator at Guthrie Mechanical Services Ltd.
In 2017, she acquired her National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) and Health & Safety Administrator (HSA) designations from the Alberta Construction Safety Association. Her last job was as a field services administrator at Tervita Corporation until 2017.
These days, she appears to be involved in the fitness circuit with her husband, Hafþór Björnsson, and his gym, Thor’s Power Gym.
Henson Met Björnsson at a Restaurant
While she was working her way through the construction safety field, Henson also doubled her earnings as a server. She worked at Earl’s Kitchen+Bar in Fort McMurray from 2012 to 2017, and that’s where she met her future husband.
Icelandic professional strongman Hafþór Björnsson was in town for the local strongman competition one day. Henson recognized the GOT actor and asked for a photo with him.
The two hit it off from there and began dating in late 2017. In October 2018, Björnsson announced that they had tied the knot.
Björnsson has a daughter, Theresa Líf, with his ex-girlfriend Thelma Björk Steimann. He also previously dated Andrea Sif Jónsdóttir, whom he met at a gym.

Henson didn’t keep the fans guessing, though, providing her stats in her Instagram bio. Petite Henson is no Brienne of Tarth at just 5’2” and weighing 53 kg (117 lbs.). That’s a fraction of Björnsson’s towering 6’9” frame weighing up to 200 kg (440 lbs.).
Their difference in physiques is particularly prominent in their Instagram pictures. Some of their followers cheekily comment that she’s the size of one of his thighs.
