Check out these five drool-worthy royal engagement rings.

The world was just settling back down with the news of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal engagement when Princess Eugenie of York announced hers! The best part of the engagement photo was her rare pink padparadscha sapphire ring, surrounded by diamonds.

Check out these five royal engagement rings the world adores and replicates!

The Princess of York got her fairytale proposal from Jack Brooksbank. He presented her with a ring that has a striking resemblance to that of the princess’ mother, Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York.

The blush-pink number is set in gold and cost a humble $9,700. The unusual choice for an engagement, the gem itself is a rare corundum.

However, the oval-cut sapphire is a regal and elegant choice for a royal ring.

#2. Meghan Markle

We can’t seem to get over this royal engagement yet because that stunner of a ring won’t let us! Meghan Markle got her Cinderella ending after Prince Harry proposed to her with a beautiful diamond ring.

Meghan Markle’s engagement ring also has an emotional memory attached to it. Of the three diamonds that adorn the finger of the future duchess, the two on the sides are from Princess Diana’s treasures.

The center diamond was sourced from Botswana and was crafted by the infamous Cleave & Company in London.

Since the diamonds that flank the sides were Princess Diana’s, the ring’s value is inestimable. But some sources say the ring is worth $500,000 to over $1.0 million!

#3. Kate Middleton

The current Duchess of Cambridge also joins the list of women who got their fairytale endings. And, we don’t mean just the ring!

Prince William is quite the catch himself, and he went all out with his proposal. While his younger brother chose to keep a part of his mother in his ring for Markle, Prince William presented Middleton with the whole deal.

The prince chose to adorn the fingers of his wife with his mother’s ring. No changes made to it, and the Duchess wears the ring ever so elegantly.

Kate Middleton’s engagement ring is a 21-carat blue sapphire surrounded by 14 stunning diamonds and set in white gold. It is priced at a whopping $500,000, which is a 10-fold increase from its original price in 1981.

#4. Queen Elizabeth

Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth got engaged to Prince Philip in 1947 when she was 21.

The ring presented to her was a 3-carat diamond ring which sits in the center and is surrounded by smaller diamonds believed to be from the tiara of Prince Philip’s mother.

The Queen never takes off the ring and even wears an additional gold band along with her engagement ring.

Since the diamonds are all heritage, the cost of the ring is inestimable.

#5. Grace Kelly

The classic actress who went on to become the Princess of Monaco was also presented with a stunner for her engagement.

Prince Rainier III of Monaco fell in love with the American actress and wed her in 1956. He presented her with a breath-taking 10.47-carat emerald-cut ring.

Two baguettes flank the huge center diamond and are set in a platinum band. Luxury designer Cartier exquisitely made the ring.

The ring became the talk of the town in no time. And we don’t need to be reminded of how many people replicated it with similar designs! (Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton anyone?)
