The new Guardians of the Galaxy sequel doesn’t actually come out till spring 2017, but the cast is already getting ready to reprise their roles for the next installment of the Marvel franchise. Zoe Saldana, who played green-skinned Gamora in the first movie, just shared a sneak peek at what it takes to get into character—and it looks like quite the process.
The actress shared a collage of pictures on Twitter showing the special effects team in action. The top left picture shows a bare-faced Saldana wearing a bald cap, beside that is a photo of her being painted with a layer of thick green slime, and underneath are two pictures that show the actress’s full head and face (eyelids, lips, and all) covered completely with the green goop. In the caption, Saldana simply wrote, “Ready for another one? #guardiansofthegalaxy #gamora #scifi #Marvel”
Many of the comments on Salda’s sneak-peek post were from excited fans who can’t wait to see the movie and who commended the actress for her dedication to the role. Some even questioned how she could sit there so calmly, like one fan who wrote, “How do you keep from panicking having your head covered? [sic]”

Guardians of the Galaxy isn’t the only big sequel that Saldana has her hands full with—the actress will also be reprising her role as Neytiri in the very highly anticipated Avatar 2, which comes out in 2017, followed by the third and fourth sequels in 2018 and 2019 respectively.
In addition to Saldana, the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will also see the return of Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord, Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, and Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket Raccoon.
