There are a lot of new movies for 2017 and Zoe Saldana’s new movies should definitely be on your list. If you’ve been Googling “Zoe Saldana new movie 2017” or “Zoe Saldana upcoming movie 2017,” then keep reading, because we have the complete list for you right here!

Recently the 38-year-old actress made some controversial comments about Hollywood bullying President-elect Donald Trump, so she may not be your biggest fan right now—but that doesn’t mean you need to take your anger out on her movies! Saldana has some interesting projects coming up and she is going to have her hands full all the way until 2022! Check out what’s on the cinematic horizon for the beautiful actress!

I Kill Giants

Saldana is set to play a leading role in the upcoming adaptation of Joe Kelly’s critically acclaimed graphic novel, I Kill Giants. The graphic novel-turned film centers around Barbara, a school misfit who battles monsters, both in real and imaginary life. She is helped by her school psychologist, Mrs. Molle (played by Zoe Saldana). But the Star Trek actress is no stranger to graphic novel adaptations, having starred in Guardians of the Galaxy and Losers, previously. The movie is in post-production and is set to be released sometime this year.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Marvel fans will be thrilled to learn that Saldana will be reprising her role as the martial arts expert, Gamora, in the sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy. Not much is revealed about the upcoming Marvel blockbuster, but fans will get to see Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord and his merry band of prisoners. The film is in post-production and the sequel is slated to be released this year.

My Little Pony: The Movie

In this project, Saldana lends her voice in this adaption of the popular children’s TV series, My Little Pony. The role is a far cry from Saldana’s usual ass-kicking roles, but reminds us that she’s also a mother. The show was a magical fantasy centered around friendship and love, while overcoming challenges in the process. The movie is in post-production and is set to be released in theaters sometime this year. This movie may not cater to Saldana’s usual fan base of adults, but it’s a physical breather for the Live by Night actress, who normally performs her own stunts in her films. Will this be a box office smash for kids, like Zootopia?

Avengers: Infinity War

Rumors had been circling from all directions, and fans were pleased to learn that Saldana confirmed her involvement in the first installment of Avengers: Infinity War. The majorly successful Marvel franchise will finally bring the villain, Thanos (Gamora’s adoptive father) to the big screen. He had only been behind the scenes or mentioned in some of the other films, but now fans are going to see him up close and personal. When we last saw Thanos, he was holding the Infinity Gauntlet, on his way to retrieve all of the Infinity Stones. Star-Lord had the “Power Stone” (a purple stone inside of an orb) but gave it to the Nova Corps, for safe keeping. Something tells us that it wasn’t safe very long, because somehow Thanos gets ahold of all the Infinity Stones and places them on the gauntlet. The Avengers (now separated) are either on the run or not speaking to each other, after the polarizing events of Captain America: Civil War.

Whether they like it or not, Earth’s mightiest heroes will need to come together and fight their greatest enemy ever. At this time, it’s unknown what role Gamora will be playing in the epic battle, but fans can expect a fair share of fight scenes. Will fans get a chance to see Gamora speak with her adoptive father? Will she be the key to ending the war? No one knows, but fans can’t wait to find out! The film is currently filming and is set to be released sometime in 2018.

Avatar Series

Saldana will be reprising her role as Neytiri, in the hugely successful Avatar franchise. Her schedule is booked solid until 2022. Saldana will have roles in Avatar 2 (2018), Avatar 3 (2020), and Avatar 4 (2022), respectively. There is no known release date at this time but you can expect another great performance from the cast in the epic CGI adventure film. The films are currently in pre-production.

There seems to be no slowing down for the stunning mother of two! With the success she’s already had as a young actress, her roles continue to get meatier and she’s not backing down from any challenge. With films lined up for the next few years, Zoe Saldana is certainly putting herself on the map and fighting her way up the ranks of Hollywood’s most notable actresses. Go, girl!
