The Blacklist season 3 episode 11 airs tonight and it’s in this particular episode that everything could change! What will happen with the series going forward and how will it change the characters’ lives and dynamics?
As of the end of the previous episode, former FBI profiler Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) finally became free once more, having been publicly exonerated of the assassination and spying charges she had been framed for at the end of season 2. While the capture of the actual perpetrator, Karakurt, should have wrapped everything up, one problem still remains: whether or not Liz can successfully reintegrate herself back into society. An interview with the executive producer has already revealed that she won’t take back her old job, becoming a consultant rather than returning to be an agent. Can Liz otherwise return to the life she once had? Will she even want to?
Meanwhile, Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader) allies with the task force in a dangerous operation to infiltrate a group of major criminals. Despite the high level of danger, the results could be very well worth it, namely the capture of the leaders of many of the world’s most dangerous organized crime rings. With stakes that high, this storyline could take up a lot of time beyond The Blacklist season 3 episode 11—perhaps even the rest of the season. On the other hand, things could go very bad very quickly.
But this op is potentially just the beginning of Red’s problems, as a new blacklister claiming to be the “real” Raymond Reddington appears, saying in the promo video that, “Someone is helping the FBI, imagine when I realised that it’s me, Red Reddington.” Imposter stories are nothing new to television, but in this case, the man could in fact be telling the truth!
The Blacklist season 3 episode 11 will be broadcast tonight, January 21, on NBC. As usual, those who miss the episode—or wish to start the series fresh—can watch online on the official web site.
