Greg T, a longtime member of z100’s Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, has bid farewell to his radio home of over two decades. After 23 years, Greg T’s final episode of Elvis Duran aired on October 7. Why is the entertaining co-host leaving? Is he following in the footsteps of another former Elvis Duran co-host and joining a rival New York morning show? We’ve got the details on Greg T’s departure from z100 here.
Greg T Says Emotional Goodbye to Elvis Duran
After announcing he would be leaving Elvis Duran and the Morning Show in September 2019, Greg T had an emotional farewell on October 7’s show. Getting tearful, Greg expressed his gratitude to Elvis for teaching him the ins and outs of the radio business along with his other co-hosts and the show’s listeners.
The New Jersey native has been on Elvis Duran since 1996 and fans are sad to see him go. Many are curious to know where he is going.
As it turns out, he’s moving on to greater things. Greg earned the opportunity to co-host another morning show at WKTU/103.5 FM, also based in New York. His new co-host will be Carolina Bermudez, who previously worked with Greg on Elvis Duran until 2012.
The first show of WKTU’s Carolina With Greg T In The Morning will air on October 9.

Who Is Replacing Greg T?
So far, z100 hasn’t announced a replacement for Greg T on Elvis Duran. Those who are sad to see him go are happy they will still hear him on radio, albeit on WKTU.
There isn’t a negative reason for Greg T’s departure; the new gig was simply a great opportunity. Bermudez had been hosting the morning show solo since her former co-host, Cubby Bryant, left WKTU for WLTW in May.
WKTU is excited to welcome Greg T to their station, as they noted in their statement: “The ‘Carolina with Greg T in the Morning Show’ will feature the latest gossip, entertainment, and music news, combined with high-energy and witty back-and-forth banter between two of New York’s most entertaining on-air personalities.”
Both Greg T and Bermudez are ecstatic about their reunion, too. “After 23 years with the legendary Elvis Duran, I cannot think of anyone else I would rather start my new adventure with, than the incredible Carolina Bermudez,” said Greg T.
He also thanked his colleagues at Elvis Duran in several social media posts. Elvis Duran and z100 had nothing but great things to say about Greg in return.
