Nat Geo Wild’s most popular show, The Incredible Dr. Pol, is back with Dr. Jan Pol and his amazing team of veterinarians. But there are a few missing faces in his team. What happened to Dr. Emily on Dr. Pol? We’ve got the scoop right here.
There’s nothing better than some warm fuzziness courtesy of The Incredible Dr. Pol to start 2018. The Nat Geo Wild show follows affable Dutch-American Dr. Jan-Harm Pol, a color-blind veterinarian, and his team as they rescue animals.
Fans have come to love Dr. Pol’s family and his team as much as the titular doctor himself. And that’s why they can spot a missing doctor where there is one.
Dr. Emily Thomas’ appearances have become rarer on the show. Does Emily still work for Dr. Pol? Here’s what you need to know.

The Incredible Dr. Emily
Fans of Dr. Pol’s show adore his colleagues, Dr. Emily, and Dr. Brenda Grettenberger.
Emily Thomas graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine and went to work for Pol Veterinary Services. She married her high school sweetheart, Tony Thomas, and they have two children together.
Thomas’ family tend to keep away from the cameras, only appearing on her social media on occasion. But Dr. Emily doesn’t shy away.
Not only is she adored, but fans have also taken to Twitter to gush how much Dr. Emily inspires them. Kids want to be just like her, and animal lovers want her to treat and care for their pets.
However, Dr. Emily’s appearances on The Incredible Dr. Pol have reduced significantly. It led a few to believe that she’s quit Pol Veterinary Services. So, is Dr. Emily still on Dr. Pol?
Over the holidays, fans tweeted Dr. Emily asking if she’s still on the show. There’s even talk that she has left to start her own clinic.

As of now, there is no official confirmation from Nat Geo Wild, the show, or from Thomas herself on whether she is leaving the show. Until there is official confirmation about any cast changes, it’s safe to assume Dr. Emily is staying.
Dr. Emily has minimal Twitter activity, which is understandable given that rescuing animals can be a very busy job. But she still lists The Incredible Dr. Pol in her Twitter bio and tweets about the show.

Most recently, Dr. Emily campaigned to save Clay Knob Dairy Farm, which was seen on the show several times. Pol, Thomas, and their crew held a fundraiser which saved the place from closing down.

As for her fleeting appearances, reports claim that Thomas won’t be able to appear in every episode for undisclosed reasons. She is most probably focusing on her family, especially her youngest child who was reportedly born not long ago.
So, it seems as though Dr. Emily Thomas will continue to work with Dr. Pol and is still a cast member on the beloved show.
