The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D are back! But, so are the bad guys that they are going to fight again, and this season it’s going to be an even more exciting battle between good and evil. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is an American TV series that is aired on ABC and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D season 4 promises to be more thrilling than any of the previous seasons. S.H.I.E.L.D stands for Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division. It is about a group of dedicated S.H.I.E.L.D agents and their allies, as they fight various enhanced humans who are out to commit evil deeds. The series is based on Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D comics. Platonic Love

The season 4 cast is made of previous cast mates and a few new characters. Actor, Clark Gregg returns as Phil Coulson, the man who oversees many of the division’s field operations. Although the character of Coulson dies in The Avengers, he has been resurrected for season 4, and Coulson’s character may have changed after his return as the director of the division. Ming-Na Wen plays the role of Melinda May, a S.H.I.E.L.D ace pilot and weapons expert. She is nicknamed “the Cavalry.” She is traumatized because of what she has done in the past, so that she could do good for many. It is her loyalty and platonic love for Coulson that keeps her in the organization, rather than any feelings she has for the S.H.I.E.L.D itself.

Passionate Agents

Chloe Bennet plays Daisy “Skye” Johnson/Quake, an Inhuman hacktivist and S.H.I.E.L.D recruit who has the ability to sense vibrations and create earthquakes. Her character changes over the course of time and by the end, she is known as Quake to the public. Iain De Caestecker plays a S.H.I.E.L.D agent named Leo Fitz, who specializes in engineering, especially in weapons technology. Though he is passionate about his work, he doesn’t understand emotions all that much. He is deeply involved in brain research. The character of Jemma Simmons is played by Elizabeth Henstridge. She is a S.H.I.E.L.D biochemist, who specializes in both human and alien life sciences. She is very intelligent, curious and focused, and she approaches everything in a mathematical manner.

The Unstable Couple

Nick Blood plays the mercenary, Lance Hunter. Though he agrees to join S.H.I.E.L.D, he does not show respect to the S.H.I.E.L.D hierarchy. Hunter is very independent and does not respect authority and titles. He has a twisted relationship with Hunter’s ex-wife, Bobbi Morse, played by Adrianne Palicki, who is also an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. She and Hunter have kept secrets from each other for years. Henry Simmons plays Alphonso “Mack” MacKenzie, a S.H.I.E.L.D mechanic who distrusts both aliens and super humans. He does not like violence and does his work quietly, away from the field. He is also very religious.

The Evil One

Brett Dalton plays Grant Ward and Hive. Ward is a Hydra agent who poses as a S.H.I.E.L.D black operations specialist. As Ward, he tries to infiltrate the organization. He is a traitor and following his death, his body is possessed by the ancient Inhuman known as Hive.
