The Walking Dead season 6 premiere (or rather mid-season premiere) may still be a couple months away, but the cast of the hit AMC series still has reason to celebrate—one of the show’s main characters, Glenn Rhee (played by Steven Yeun), was named by MTV as one of the best TV characters of the year—he was ninth on the list, to be exact.

In honor of their star’s honorable mention earlier this week, the team of The Walking Dead apparently celebrated with a good old-fashioned pizza party, according to this tweet that was posted to the show’s official Twitter page: “@MTV named Glenn one of the Best TV Characters of 2015! We’ll be celebrating with some [pizza slice emoticon].”

They also shared the news on the show’s official Facebook page, posting an image of Glenn with a link to the article and the caption, “This news calls for a pizza party!”

As diehard fans of the show will probably know, Glenn used to work as a pizza delivery man in Atlanta before the apocalypse (which is why he knows his way around all of the streets and shortcuts), so what better way to celebrate!

The Walking Dead season 6 has been a big year for this particular character. Viewers were left stunned at the end of episode 3 when Glenn gets knocked into a hoard of hungry walkers (aka zombies), seemingly getting ripped to shreds. However, we later learn that he actually survived the fall by hiding out under a dumpster.

After Glenn’s triumphant return, Yeun commented on what it meant not just for the show, but for fans, saying, “It proves this world can take the story of the good guy winning sometimes.” However, keeping the secret of his “death” wasn’t easy on the actor. “I feel bad that I couldn’t say anything to everyone, family, friends. I’m pretty sure I lost some friends along the way. It’s kind of been overwhelming,” Yeun joked.

We’ll have to wait and see what else is in store for Glenn Rhee when The Walking Dead season 6 continues on February 14, 2016.
