Chris Cornell passed away at the age of 52 on May 17, 2017. Investigators are currently looking into the cause of Chris Cornell’s death. According to the late singer’s representative, Brian Bumbery, Chris’ death was “sudden and unexpected.” His family will be working closely with the medical investigator to find out his cause of death, and they have asked the media for privacy at this time.

Chris Cornell was on tour in Detroit. Just hours before his death, he tweeted about a sold-out show that he performed. Chris has been recording music since the late 1980s both in bands and as a solo artist, releasing albums like Carry On, Songbook, Higher Truth, Scream and Euphoria Morning.

In 2003, he checked into rehab following alcohol issues and personal problems. He has been sober ever since. About his decision, Chris said, “I actually like rehab a lot. It’s like school; it’s interesting. I’m learning that I can be teachable at age 38. He further added, “I would sometimes drink before we played. It wasn’t a big deal. It became a bigger deal when I stopped doing the other things I liked to do. I used to ride mountain bikes around with my friends, and we’d keep 40-ouncers where the water bottle was supposed to be. But once I removed the mountain and the bike, there was just the drinking.”

Vicky was Sued by Her Cleaning Lady

In 2006, Elia Mora was hired by Vicky Karayiannis as a housekeeper. The day after Christmas in 2011, Elia claimed that she was called back to Chris Cornell’s home by Vicky after she left. When Elia declined, Vicky reportedly “went nuts on her, berating her with a barrage of insults and then firing her.” The cleaning lady further added that she worked for 43 hours a week and was never paid overtime. She also said that she was denied 30-minute lunch breaks and uninterrupted 10-minute rest periods. According to Howard King, the Cornell’s lawyer, “The true facts are that Ms. Morales did not work full-time for the Cornells, was not fired by the Cornells and belatedly raises the spurious claims only after another one of her claims, for workers compensation for alleged injuries, was denied.”
