If you’re a fan of The Real Housewives of Orange County, you already know that Vicki Gunvalson is in a relationship with former police officer, Steve Lodge. Rumors have been swirling about whether or not the two will tie the knot, with speculation that Vicki is simply Steve’s “Sugar Mama.” Who is Steve Lodge? Many are hoping to get the scoop on the man who could become Vicki Gunvalson’s husband. Our Steve Lodge wiki has all you need to know!

If you haven’t been keeping up with The Real Housewives of Orange County this season, you will be happy to know that Vicki Gunvalson has long moved on from her former “cancer-scheming” beau, Brooks Ayers. She’s now in a happy relationship with Steve Lodge, and fans are happy to see that their favorite housewife has moved on.

He was born Steven Albert Chavez in Southern California on August 3, 1958, which makes his age 60.

Steve has completed an Advanced Certification and Criminal Justice law Enforcement course from the Police Officers Academy and served for over three decades in law enforcement.

Steve Lodge Is a Former Police Officer

Steve is a military veteran who served as a Paratrooper in the United States Army. After he was honorably discharged from military service in 1982, Steve worked as a Police Detective in the City of Santa Ana, where he served for 27 years. Besides being a police officer, Steve was the Departments Senior Gang Homicide Detective and also a Cross-Designated Federal Agent.

For his exceptional work in the police department, Steve received several police medals and awards. He was honored by many private and public associations. He started the gang cold case homicide unit.

In 2003, he was named as one of the “Hottest People in Orange County” by OCMetro Magazine for his work on cold case homicides and he was voted Officer of the Year twice, consecutively. Steve was also honored as Detective of the year.

During his tenure, Steve was the member of the Board of Directors and was also on the Political Action Committee of the Santa Ana Police Officers Association. He was appointed by the Murrieta City Council as a Public Safety/Traffic Commissioner.

In January 2010, Steve joined Hill International, Inc. and worked there as Director of Public Affairs for five years. In 2015, Steve started his own firm called Chamus & Associates, which is a full-service Public Affairs firm.

The company offers services such as public affairs, public relations, government affairs, business development, and investigations.

Cases Against Him

Reportedly, in 1990, Steve was sued for being “too brutal” and using excessive force after a fight with Hossein Farahani. Farahani was jaywalking when Steve tried to stop him, but Farahani reportedly ran away out of fear.

Farahani ended up with a “ruptured disc in his back and a gash on his head that required eight stitches.” Farahani alleges that Steve beat him up with a baton. The jaywalker Farahani ended up getting $612,000 awarded to him by a federal jury in a settlement in court.

Steve’s lawyers claim that Farahani was injured because of the struggle, which took place after he fled.

Then, in 2012, a man named Michael Thomas filed a restraining order against Steve. Reportedly, Thomas claimed that he and Steve were staying in the same hotel. Thomas claimed that Steve called his room from the lobby twice and tried to find out his room number.

He went on to explain that Steve assaulted him several times in the past, and he was scared for his life due to the facial injuries he suffered as a result of the past attack. But Steve had a completely different take on the incident.

According to Thomas, Steve had stalked him in the past and there was allegations of Thomas having an extra-marital affair with his then-wife. Steve claimed that when they discussed the situation, Thomas said he would still pursue his wife anyway, and as Steve was walking away, Thomas grabbed his right upper arm. Steve said that in his defense, he struck him with his closed fist.

The matter was taken to court and on November 16, 2012, the case was dismissed and the temporary restraining order was stopped.

Ran for a Seat on the Anaheim City Council in 2012 and 2016

Because Steve ran for a seat on the Anaheim City Council in 2012 and 2016, past accusations of police brutality from his time on the force were brought up against him.

When he was running for City Council in Anaheim, California, a political blogger Cynthia Ward filed a lawsuit against Steve alleging that he used the name “Steven Chavez Lodge,” which is a Latino name. She claims he did that for political gain.

However, Steve said that the name on his birth certificate is Steven Albert Chavez. In the end, it seems he ran as a candidate as Steven Chavez Lodge anyway. Steve was defeated in the general election on November 8, 2016.

Steve Is a Good Samaritan

Steve takes out time to volunteer for good causes. In 2007, he started working as a Public Safety Commissioner at City Public Safety Commission for two years.

In 2003, he was a coach at YMCA football to teach football to kids. Moreover, from 2003 to 2013, Steve was a teacher at Special Needs Sunday School. In 2014, he was the commissioner at Anaheim City Budget Commission for almost three years.

In January 2013, Steve became the commissioner at Orange County Waste Management Commissioner, where he currently volunteers.

Steve Is in a Relationship With RHOC Star Vicki Gunvalson

Vicki and Steve met each other in April 2016. According to sources, the sweet couple met at a charity event and he absolutely had no idea who Vicki was!

Steve had never in his life watched a reality show and was not aware of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Later on, Vicki told Steve that she was a part of the show.

They have been together for two and a half years now. Although Vicki and Steve claim to be in love with each other, her co-stars feel that Steve is with Vicki because of her money.

Vicki defended her man by saying that the rumors are not true and that Steve is not with her for money. There were also rumors that Vicki was being set up with a matchmaker behind his back. Does this mean their relationship is in trouble?

Recently, Kelly Dodd, fellow RHOC star opened up about her opinion on the two of them and said that she doesn’t think Steve will ask Vicki to marry her. Kelly said, “Unless she buys herself her own ring, which she probably will do. And plans the wedding and pays for it herself, then he might say yes.”
