With many of the 24 squads now in France ahead of the UEFA Euro 2016 (Union of European Football Associations), fans and correspondents have their own France predicted lineups as the France vs. Romania match is underway on Friday. Soccer fans are already choosing their own fantasy France lineup, and since France is hosting the game, we thought we should focus on the France football team.

There’s no official lineup announced for the first game, but that hasn’t stopped fans from coming up with their own theories, with a mix of goalies, defenders, forwards, and midfielders.

A possible fan theory lineup for France includes Lloris, Sagna, Rami, Koscielny, Évra, Pogba, Kanté/Sissoko, Matuidi, Griezmann, Giroud, and Payet. But with so many good players to choose from, it’s hard to tell who will make the cut in order to play in Friday’s match. Arguably, fans believe that the best goalie means the team is in better hands, since the goalie easily has the most stressful and important job on the field. The France lineup will no doubt have that fact taken into account as the France football team is selected.

The France vs. Romania match is set to start on Friday, June 10 at 3:00 p.m. EST at the Stade de France. High-profile guests, such as France’s President Francois Hollande and Romania’s Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos, will attend the Stade de France to watch the opening UEFA Euro match.

Playing in France is expected to give the France team an added morale boost which can sometimes make all the difference in a game, pulling a team from the brink of failure. Whatever the lineup is set to be, we hope it’s one that agrees with fans and France!
