The news is now officially out that Ellen K, co-host of the famous KIIS-FM radio show On Air with Ryan Seacrest, is officially leaving after over a decade to pursue her own solo radio career. So where does this leave the show’s main host, Ryan Seacrest? Pretty devastated, apparently.

He took to Twitter to bid farewell to his long-time co-host and his tribute to her was emotional, to say the least. Seacrest shared a collage of fun photos showing him and Ellen K goofing off in the studio and posing together on red carpets. In the caption, he wrote, “My life coach, my confidant, my rock…my cohost of 11 years @OfficialEllenK is leaving @onairwithryan 🙁 [sic].”

In a follow-up post, Seacrest admitted that although he was having “mixed emotions,” he was proud of Ellen and announced her new position as the host of her own morning show on KOST 103.5.

Seacrest shared a similar sentiment with his Instagram followers. He posted a beautiful shot of his former co-host, captioning it, “The one constant in my life…the only woman who’s been with me for 11 years 😉 I’ll miss u [sic].” (Seacrest has become known as something of a celebrity playboy, often moving from one short-lived relationship to the next.)

Ellen also shared the career update with her fans via social media. For Ryan Seacrest, she shared a special Instagram post—granted she used fewer words to describe their partnership, but the post was just as moving. It was simply a candid photo of the pair, and in the caption, she included a single heart emoticon.

Fans of the radio celebrities seem to be just as devastated by the news as Seacrest is. Hundreds have commented on their Twitter and Instagram posts to express their disappointment with Seacrest and Ellen K splitting up, but continue to wish her well in her new role.

There’s no word yet on whether or not Ellen K’s On Air with Ryan Seacrest chair will be filled by someone else or if Seacrest will just carry the show on his own going forward.
