Stephen Curry may be one of the hottest players in the NBA right now, but he’s also just your average, everyday guy who gets excited about simple things like home renovations and cool gadgets—at least, that’s what it looks like, judging by his latest Twitter post.
Curry tweeted late last night about something his wife purchased for their home, and it wasn’t anything fancy, but it seemed to bring a lot of joy to the basketball star: “So, my Wife bought me a new toilet for our house. You know, one of those automatic ones. And i’m Hype!!! Yep That’s it, Goodnight! [sic]” He also added one simple hashtag, “Blessed.”
Curry’s fans definitely seem to appreciate the down-to-earth, albeit hilarious, post, which is why it has already been retweeted over 4,000 times (and is still being shared). One fan summed up the post with the perfect comment, writing, “@StephenCurry30 is having one of the best stretches of his career and is hyped about a toilet. Talk about a humble man.”
The 27-year-old’s career really has been on fire this season with incredible shots and plays. Last night’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies is the perfect example; curry sank an impossible shot from almost 30 feet away, and that’s while falling. Then in the third quarter, Curry made another 40-foot shot right at the buzzer. Needless to say, everyone’s talking about Curry.
People are also talking about his adorable three-year-old daughter, Riley, who became a celebrity in her own right after making a few entertaining appearances at her father’s press conferences. Riley has now officially become a young model, making her debut for the kids’ footwear and apparel line Freshly Picked.
“I was so impressed with how personable she was and also how natural she was in front of the camera,” said Susan Peterson, the brand’s founder. “Riley was definitely born to be star!”
