Supernatural has been taking fans on a thrilling roller coaster ride since Season 11 premiered on October 7. And the mid-season finale, (Episode 9) made some seriously unexpected revelations that left fans wanting more. However, the wait will be strenuous as Supernatural Season 11 Episode 10 is scheduled to air only on Wednesday, January 20 next year.
However, the last episode definitely gave fans a great show as Amara, aka The Darkness, returned, only to kill preachers in order to gain the attention of God. Then, when Dean (Jensen Ackles) runs into her while investigating the deaths, she tells him that they were meant to be together, what with their similar marks, and even kisses him. Dean tries to kill her but fails miserably and is sent away safely by Amara when light from the sky envelopes her and she goes willingly. Meanwhile, Sam teams up with Crowley and witch Rowena to find a way into Hell and speak to Lucifer, who is in The Cage. In the most appalling turn of events, Sam does indeed meet the fallen angel who asks for the hunter’s help, to no avail. Failed warding by Rowena results in Sam getting pulled into The Cage alongside Lucifer, who reveals that The Darkness is as powerful as God, and that her release weakened The Cage, allowing him to send Sam visions.
Poor Sam, once again fooled by Lucifer and in Hell, his fate hanging in the balance, has fans on the edge of their seats. They certainly had some theories and questions as they commented on an Instagram post by cw_supernatural, things like, “Can someone explain to me why Michael is not in the cage with Lucifer?” and, “Can Lucifer defeat Amara when she zapped three angels already?”
We aren’t getting any answers for another five weeks or so- January 20 to be precise, which is when Episode 10 airs. However, a very short promo has been released which teases fans: “This holiday, Supernatural has a present for you, but you can’t open it until January.” How kind! In response followers of the show wrote, “I had to watch it like 60 times and then once again in slow motion, I had to,” and, “Oh God. I have to wait a month and a half for that?” Unfortunately, yes.
