When Does Rogue One Take Place?

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is a standalone story set shortly before the series of events of the original Star Wars film released in 1977. Reports suggest that this is the first of the anthology films to be released, though the dates or filming have not yet been announced. Star Wars: Rogue One tells the story of Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) who is recruited by the Rebel Alliance to work with Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) and his team on a top secret mission. The mission is to steal the design schematics of the Galactic Empire’s new weapon, the Death Star.

Hard Working Cast

The Star Wars: Rogue One cast comprises of Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Jiang Wen, and Forest Whitaker. None of them have appeared in any of the seven already released Star Wars films. They have put in tremendous performances and worked very hard to make this film. According to those who were lucky enough to watch the film’s premiere, the hard work shows in the film, which some say could be the best of the series.

Fans Love It

At the premiere, the audience of both celebrities and fans cheered loudly as the end credits rolled on. Many people loved the action packed sequences and the non-stop exciting storyline, and everyone loved the new characters in the film. There was no doubt that the film was shot beautifully and had exceeded all expectations. This must be great to hear for the franchise’s fans and the producers. After all, there is a lot riding on this film! Production still needs to take place for Star Wars VIII and IX, and casting for the Han Solo film is still underway.

Box Office Expectations are High

The Star Wars: Rogue One trailer had promised a thrilling ride to its fans, and it delivers. The story is full of interesting twists and turns, and the characters are memorable. That has always been a strong point for the Star Wars franchise, and this one’s got it all. Most of the praise went to the movie’s lead star, Felicity Jones, though everyone was said to have done remarkably. Disney is very confident that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will do great in theaters.
