Sophia Bush can do more than just act. The Chicago P.D. star started this week by doing aerial stunts. The TV star shared a clip on her Instagram page that displays her showing off her airborne stunts, which include a flip and a partnered move from one swing to another.
The actress, who has sustained an impressive career in television since her role as one of the leads on the hit CW drama One Tree Hill, accompanied the video with the caption, “Started the week flying,” followed by the hashtags, “IBelieveICanFly” and “MondayMantra.” She also tagged her friend Amanda Slavin, the founder and CEO of design firm CatalystCreativ and one of Forbes’ “30 under 30” in 2015.
Though Bush’s video shows her flawlessly pulling off the aerial stunts, the actress recently suffered injuries doing stunts for her TV show, Chicago P.D., which were bad enough to require her to wear a neck brace. Though she kept mum on how she obtained her injury, she did reveal that the accident occurred on set while “chasing a bad guy through the mean streets of Chicago.” She also posted a photo on Instagram of her making a silly, unamused face while donning an uncomfortable-looking neck brace.
Despite the risk Bush took with her aerial stunts, her fans seemed to be in total support of her athletics. Since the post went up, it’s earned more than 72,000 likes and nearly 1,500 comments ranging from expressing how impressive her stunts were to how much respect fans now have for her.
Bush currently stars as the lead on the Chicago Fire spin-off, Chicago P.D., alongside Jason Beghe and Jon Seda. The show airs every Wednesday at 10:00 p.m. EST on NBC.
