Simon Cowell is an English reality TV judge, producer, and entrepreneur. With all of his televised roles and his position as a successful businessman, it’s no wonder that people are wondering: how much is Simon Cowell worth? Keep on reading to find out Simon Cowell’s net worth and more interesting facts about his wife, kids, and house.

Widely recognized for his roles on British shows like Pop Idol, The X Factor, and Britain’s Got Talent, Cowell is also flooding the American airwaves with his appearances on American Idol, The X Factor, and America’s Got Talent. He’s also the principal founder and chief executive of the British entertainment company, Syco.

Early Beginnings

Simon Cowell, age 57, had a privileged upbringing in Hertfordshire, England. He grew up in Elstree, which was famous for its film and televisions studio—some would say this is where his affinity for television and production began. As a child, he spent most of his school days at a boarding school in Dover, which, unsurprisingly, he vehemently rebelled against. He managed to break into the industry at a fairly young age, and got his foot in the door as a runner at Elstree studios. After networking with professionals in the industry, Cowell managed to work his way up from there, despite the unlikelihood. Things obviously went his way, as he’s now one of the most notable media moguls in the business! In addition to his plethora of TV shows, you might’ve seen a Simon Cowell movie or two without even realizing it. He’s made appearances in One Direction: This is Us, One Direction: All for One, Ripley Underground, Once Chance, Pudsey the Dog, and more. While he may not strike you as the voice actor type, he has been in a few animated films, as well! (As the villain, perhaps?)

Living a Life of Luxury

It’s clear that he’s reaping the rewards of all his hard work, as Simon Cowell’s home is a sprawling estate. He has multiple homes, actually: one in West London, Los Angeles, a villa in Marbella, and even an investment property in Dubai! Living in the infamous 90210 zip code, Cowell has said that L.A. is where he feels most at home and at peace. It’s no wonder that this is his favorite property, as he designed the 9.335 square foot mansion himself, right down to the door knobs. Just off Sunset Boulevard, the 6-bedroom, 6-bathroom home is complete with a media theatre, tanning salon, state-of-the-art-gym, luxury spa with a wet steam room, a solarium, lap pool, and pool cabana with a retractable roof. In addition, Cowell has live-in butler’s and maid’s quarters, with a 24-hour servant’s kitchen, and a $1.0 million security system to protect it all.

In addition to his love of luxury real estate, Simon Cowell’s car collection is nothing short of impressive. Cowell’s garage resembles that of a car dealership, boasting a Rolls Royce Phantom, Ferrari California, a Jaguar Speedster, a Bronco Jeep, convertible Bentley, and even a SMART car! As if he needs a vacation from his fabulous life, Cowell often heads to Barbados to celebrate the holidays. Spending Christmas and New Years in the tropics, Sandy Lane is always a favorite of his. His love of luxury vehicles doesn’t end with his impressive car collection; he also has a luxury yacht called “Slipstream.” During his holiday season, he often takes it sailing along the Mediterranean, Italy, and the South of France.

Simon Cowell’s Kid

While Simon Cowell does have kids, he is not currently married. He and girlfriend Laura Silverman announced the birth of their adorable baby boy, Eric, on Valentine’s day in 2014. For Simon Cowell, a wife could have been in the works not too long ago, as he was engaged to his personal makeup artist, Mezhgan Hussainy, in 2010. However, the pair split up shortly after in 2011, but remain friends.

His Dig at Mel B. on AGT

Cowell is known for his scathing remarks and harsh critiques, which are usually aimed at the contestants he’s tasked with judging. However, things took a turn for the worse on Tuesday night when he went after fellow judge, Mel B. Simon Cowell, on AGT, made a pretty controversial comment about Mel B’s—very nasty, very public—divorce. After an escape artist’s act didn’t go quite as planned, Cowell said “I kind of imagine this would be a lot like Mel’s wedding night ― a lot of anticipation, not much promise or delivery.” He was cut off by a stunned Mel throwing her drink at him, and storming off the stage with Heidi Klum in tow. Yikes!

Tune into NBC to see Simon Cowell and the rest of the AGT judges on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8/7c.
