Born Shannon Bruce Snaith, the man is said to be single at the moment. However, he has been in the news quite recently when Mandy Moore admitted that she fell in love with him during their time filming A Walk to Remember. While Moore was just starting out her career, West was an established star. She gushed about him in an interview admitting she was young, impressionable, and crushing hard on him.
“Shane was so cool. Everything about him – the way he dressed, the little cigarettes that he smoked, and the music he listened to. He was the character to me,” explained Moore.
“There was definitely a part of me that absolutely fell in love with him. I don’t know if I could discern the difference between him and the character at that point in time because, again, it was my first experience doing anything like this and I was a 16-year-old, impressionable girl,” she added. As she reminisced about the time that the duo acted together, she said it was an “overwhelmingly positive, memorable experience.”
