Serena Williams Makes Revelation About Sister Venus

Venus and Serena Williams have taken the term “sibling rivalry” to an entirely different level in the world of professional tennis, but the sisters continue to show the world that they have an unbreakable sisterly bond outside the courts.

Little sister Serena, 34, shared a rather old photo of the two siblings sporting beaded braids on her Instagram account. Not afraid to show her feelings, Serena included the following caption with the image: “I’m not doing so well without @venuswilliams I’m getting mentally sick. I’m lonely, I’m sad. I just really miss my best friend. My twin. My heart. My sister. I know you are working but I’m not the same without you. can [sic] you come back please? I promise I will stay out of your room (maybe) although I was just there getting some things I needed.” She also added the hashtags, “little sister” and “sisters.” The reason that the tennis pro sisters are currently separated is that Venus Williams is out of the country, in Singapore as an alternate for the WTA Finals.

The post was liked over 16,000 times in an hour, now hitting up to almost 60,000 likes, and several fans left comments on how adorable the two are. One user wrote, “OMG this just almost brought tears to my eyes, I’m the big sister so I would never imagine my little sisters feeling like this. Now this makes me understand, so sweet, and pure.”

Serena, the world’s number one women’s singles tennis player, has also been in the news recently for romantic rumors. Apparently, she had been in an on-off relationship with Canadian rapper, Drake, until very recently. Now she is officially dating co-founder of Reddit, Alexis Ohanian. However, Williams herself has neither confirmed nor denied any of these stories.
