Arnold Schwarzenegger’s wife, Maria Shriver, first filed for divorce back in July 2011 after finding out that the actor was having an affair with one of their housekeepers and secretly got her pregnant. Schwarzenegger, 66, has since moved on—he’s got a 38-year-old sugar baby named Heather Milligan—but it’s been over two years and the celebrity couple’s divorce has yet to be finalized.
The rumored reason why the divorce has been lagging for so long is that Schwarzenegger is delaying it on purpose because the celebrity couple doesn’t have a prenup and he doesn’t want to have to fork over the money. Their estimated net worth is said to be around $400 million, and without a prenup, his soon-to-be ex-wife is entitled to half of that money.
Schwarzenegger’s new sugar baby also supposedly has a role to play in him delaying the divorce. According to gossip site TMZ, their May-December relationship has been getting pretty serious and he’s worried that if his divorce is finalized, he’ll be pressured into putting a ring on Milligan’s finger, and he’s not exactly ready to be tied down again just yet.
What do you think: Would you continue dating a rich older man if he refused to divorce his wife just because of the money?
