The royal wedding is less than two months away, and we can only imagine what lovebirds Prince Harry and soon-to-be Princess Meghan Markle are feeling right now! The couple has opted for a mini pre-honeymoon in Ireland before their nuptials to ward off those butterflies! But where will they jet off to for their actual royal honeymoon?

If it’s royal, it has to be classy, with a pang of fun added to it! No, we’re not just talking about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s upcoming wedding, but also their honeymoon destination!

The princess-to-be has already proved she’s the one to break all creamy-white traditions! So, will she and Prince Harry opt for an out-of-the-box honeymoon destination?

Major Princess Diaries feels, you guys! Just like Mia Thermopolis, Meghan Markle is also showing her fun side to the otherwise neatly organized life of the Royal family.

The wedding preparations are well underway, and the most recent development is the cake!

Start fanning yourself and screeching ladies. And get ready to push your wedding cake baker to their limits!

The cake the couple chose for their wedding is going to be crafted by Markle’s fellow Californian, Claire Ptak. The baker, like the future Princess, was raised in California, and she has been chosen to create the perfect lemon-elderflower masterpiece. (It screams different already!)

Cake? Check.

Honeymoon destination? Czech?

Check out the five hot spots we’ve picked out, which we think could be possible Prince Harry and Meghan Markle royal honeymoon destinations!

#1. South Africa

So, let’s get the elephant out of the room. We think that with Markle’s African ancestry, the couple might choose the sunny and fresh country for their royal honeymoon!

Kate Middleton and Prince William went to Seychelles in East Africa, so it’s very much a possibility.

South Africa offers a great variety of activities to do in the day and has a plethora of romantic escapes in the night. Perfect for newlyweds!

#2. Scotland

Will the royal couple follow in the footsteps of the Queen and the Duke and stick to good old United Kingdom?

Her Majesty the Queen spent her newlywed days at Hampshire at the Broadlands House. So, it’s not a bad deal if Meghan Markle and Prince Harry opt for Scotland.

The picturesque landscape and the breezy weather are bound to bring out the romance in the couple. And as a plus, big brother William and his wife, Kate, have already warmed the Scottish up with their latest visit!

#3. Caribbean Cruise

What’s better than lengths of pristine water, a beautiful cruise, and luxurious time to spend with one another?

The soon-to-be wife of Prince Harry is already carrying a piece of Princess Diana’s memory with her in her ring. And it’ll be a perfect ending to a perfect wedding if they choose to go on a cruise tour, just like Prince Harry’s parents, Princess Diana and Prince Charles, as well as Princess Margaret.

The Caribbean islands are the perfect amalgamation of fun, adventure, and scenery. Not to mention the utterly romantic nights by the shores of the dreamy islands!

The royal couple can disembark on various islands and experience every place differently, like Havana or Aruba. The vast blue seas and the quaint towns of the islands are bound to provide picture-perfect days to relax, which is exactly what a newlywed couple really needs! (Especially after a huge (likely stressful) wedding!)

#4. Tuscany, Italy

We’re not even going to mention run-of-the-mill destinations like Venice and Rome. But what about the more historically-oriented Tuscany? Ah, Florence!

The art is as inspiring as nature, and the rolling fields of green Chianti contrasted by the rocky cliffs of the Apuan Alps are simply too perfect!

The best part of this trip?

Authentic pizza! And the royal couple can cozy up with luxurious glasses of wine while they bask in the sweet sunny days on the grasslands.

Who wouldn’t like to escape and commune with nature?

#5. New Zealand

It may not be a surprise if the couple chooses beautiful and adventurous New Zealand for their romantic getaway.

Kate Middleton’s sister, Pippa Middleton, and her husband, James Matthews, chose adjacent country Australia, for their honeymoon. And by the looks of those pictures, they seem to have had a great time!

New Zealand has a great combination of adventure, city life, and romantic places tucked away in nooks, which is perfect for any couple on their honeymoon. So, there’s a possibility that this new royal couple might just grace both these mesmerizing countries extending their honeymoon time!
