In the ongoing battle between celebrities and paparazzi, Rosie O’Donnell just scored a big point for team celebrity. The television star was apparently being followed by an intrusive female photographer and she got back at the woman in the best possible way—by publicly outing her on Instagram.

O’Donnell gave the paparazzo a taste of her own medicine by sneakily snapping a picture of her and then uploaded it on Instagram with the caption, “This woman photographer followed me from the suburbs to the dentist in NYC – #creepy #really?”

But she wasn’t quite done with the shaming yet, because O’Donnell then took it one step further by posting a shot of the photographer’s car, with the license plate clearly displayed.

The posts have been generating huge support from Rosie O’Donnell’s followers, who are praising the star for standing up against paparazzi. However, as one commenter pointed out, the posts might get Rosie O’Donnell in trouble if something were to happen to the photographer or her car, since O’Donnell was the one who put out the identifying information.

Then again, it isn’t uncommon for celebrities to call out photographers for being disrespectful about their privacy. Just a couple days ago, model Cara Delevingne went on a Twitter rant about being hassled by paparazzi in Milan. She condemned them for making her feel like a “zoo animal” and threatened, “One day when I have time, I will find out where you live and camp outside your house with my friends armed with cameras.” Judging by the over 5,315 retweets, people are liking her idea of payback.
