Hollywood actor and comedian Rob Schneider came home on Friday night to find that his home in Encino, L.A. had been burglarized. The 51-year-old was out of town and his wife Patricia Azarcoya Schneider was out for dinner when the unfortunate incident took place.

TMZ claims that the actor reported the theft of his wife’s diamond-studded engagement ring, a Cartier watch, and a 1951 Willie Mays baseball card priced at $175,000.

Schneider, known best for his 1999 blockbuster Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, is a baseball card enthusiast, most fond of the ones from the 1950s and 1960s. His Bowman Willie Mays card was in perfect condition, and so rare that it would be a task to sell it unnoticed. Along with that, the thieves also snagged a 1953 Topps card for Willie Mays. Fortunately, the robbers failed to get to Schneider’s main collection, which was tucked away safely.

The web site also reported that they got information from police officials about the theft—the burglars are said to have broken in through a sliding glass door at the backside of the house with the help of some blunt object.

The actor rose to fame in the ‘90s on Saturday Night Live where he chanced upon Adam Sandler, with whom he has worked with several times since. Schneider has been busy this year working on five films, including The Ridiculous 6 and Norm of the North.
