2015 was a great year for Rob Lowe. Right from starring in a hilarious new sitcom, The Grinder, to being honored with a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the 51-year-old was smiling for most of it. Check out just why, when The Grinder Season 1 Episode 10 returns tonight to Fox after over a month-long hiatus.
The mid-season premiere of the show, titled “The Olyphant in the Room” will follow brothers Dean and Stewart Sanderson (Rob Lowe and Fred Savage) as guest star, Timothy Olyphant engages Dean’s love interest Claire. In turn, Dean believes that he needs to helm a case concerning Claire’s friend in order to “win her back.” However, he ends up using certain questionable methods that may lead to even more trouble with his lady love.
In other developments, Stewart has the spotlight on him as a journalist chooses him to be the topic of a feature story. However, Dean rains on his parade by intervening and turning all the attention towards himself, what with him being a former TV star and everything. This annoys Stewart more than ever, making him more relatable to the audience.
There is also news that perhaps in the future Jimmy Kimmel will also make an appearance on the show. The official account for The Grinder retweeted a post by Entertainment Weekly that informed Twitteratis of an inception! Jimmy Kimmel Live! will be featured on Lowe’s show, where the actor will guest star on Kimmel’s show. Phew! Talk about complicated.

Several Twitter users were initially confused as to what was going on as they left replies such as, “Really? I thought Jimmy Kimmel was going to be on Grinder.” Another mocked the show’s format of bringing up doubt with, “Look at Rob Low… How old does he think he is? Not in ya 30s anymore. 51 I think. Oh. Is it Rob Lowe? [sic].”
Prior to the mid-season premiere of The Grinder Season 1 Episode 10, Fox is letting viewers watch the first 9 episodes for free on the web. You can catch them here, and also see the trailer below for Episode 10 that airs tonight at 9:30/8:30c.
