What to Expect in the Riverdale Season 2 Premiere

The promo for season 2 has Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and Veronica (Camila Mendes) sitting in the cafeteria. Their conversation is interrupted by Kevin (Casey Cott) asking them to go to Betty’s (Lili Reinhart) locker, which is filled with copies of an article about F.P. Jones’ (Skeet Ulrich) innocence. Talking about season 2, Lili Reinhart says, “I think season 2 focuses a lot on this civil war between the North Side and the South Side.”

Archie (K.J. Apa) will have a tough time dealing with his problems this season, especially after his dad was shot. Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa said in an interview, “Archie [KJ Apa] is a really good barometer for the entire show. Because of what happened with Fred in the finale – because he saw his father get shot in Pop’s – he’s on a darker journey. He’s at the heart of the show and is the show’s moral compass in a weird way. By virtue of the fact that Archie is on a darker journey, the show itself is also on a darker journey.”

When Archie’s father was shot, the rest of the group try to figure out what happened, when Jughead brings up the idea that i could have been intentional. A lot of our questions will be answered today when season 2 of Riverdale premieres. In the meantime, check out the Riverdale season 2 preview:
