WWE fans already received heartbreaking news when John Cena announced that he would be taking a short hiatus from wrestling (although there is already speculation that the 15-time WWE World Champion will return to the ring on December 13 for the WWE TLC pay-per-view in his hometown of Boston). But now it seems that another fan favorite—pro wrestler Randy Orton—might also be out for the same amount of time. The 35-year-old posted a link to his Facebook page late Monday night confirming rumors of a shoulder injury sparked when he was absent from Monday Night Raw almost a month ago.

The caption wrote, “BREAKING NEWS on the health of Randy Orton…” with a link to the WWE article. The piece detailed Orton’s absence in Dallas three weeks ago and named a bout with Bray Wyatt as a suspected cause of Orton’s injury. While Orton’s shoulder injury may or may not require surgery, it will definitely keep him out of the ring for a significant period of time.

And in case his dislocated shoulder requires an operation, Orton will be MIA for a minimum of four to six months. The WWE’s physician informed the web site that an MRI found a “Bankart lesion in his shoulder,” along with stretched ligaments and even a “partially torn rotator cuff.”

Dr. Steve Daquino added that it is only a matter of time before the pro wrestler dislocates his arm again.

The post received more than 11,000 likes from Facebook users and several well wishes from his fans, including: “Randy Orton your Best Miss YOU Monday Raw [sic],” and, “Ugh. Never the same for me when Orton is out. Get well soon.”

However, this does not mean that the doting father of one will be completely out of sight. His acting career, which was on a standby, seems to be taking off again with a sequel to the hit movie The Condemned, which also starred wrestling icon Stone Cold Steve Austin. Set to be released on November 6, the movie follows Orton as the lead character, a bounty hunter who becomes the target in a deadly game of killing for survival.
