A couple weeks ago, we shared a story about Paris Hilton using her Instagram to help promote a notable children’s charity in the Philippines. While a lot of people assume that the hotel heiress is only concerned with, well, herself, another one of her recent Instagram posts is proving otherwise.
Hilton posted a short video of her visiting a young diehard fan at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles—the young girl is so excited to be meeting the celebrity that she can’t even bring herself to speak. As she wipes her tears and fans her face, Hilton can be heard telling her, “I’m happy to make you happy.” Hilton also added an inspirational caption with the video, writing, “I love visiting the kids at @ChildrensLA Hospital. True happiness comes from making others happy. Give & share your love everyday [sic].”
Judging by the “TBT” hashtag she included, this meeting probably happened a little while ago. Either way, it’s commendable on Paris Hilton’s part. And her fans seemed to agree—the video has been liked over 28,000 times and racked up hundreds of comments praising Hilton for her effort. One fan put it perfectly when she wrote, “Thanks for sharing @parishilton It is selfless of you to give some of your time in this way considering your schedule.” We couldn’t agree more! Paris Hilton isn’t the only celebrity who pays a little extra attention to children in need. Here are a few other stars who make it a point to visit their fans in the hospital:
- Ludacris: The rapper/actor spent the holidays visiting fans at the children’s hospital in Atlanta, something he does every year through The Ludacris Foundation, an organization to help inspire youth.
- Jennifer Lawrence: This past August, the Hunger Games actress spent some time with young fans at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Montreal.
- Kylie Jenner and Tyga: The celebrity couple took time out over the holidays to bring gifts and post for pictures with kids at a children’s hospital in L.A. We should note, though, that the visit was accompanied by a filming crew for Tyga’s reality show, Kingin’ With Tyga.
- Chris Evans and Chris Pratt: Back in March, the duo hung out with patients at the Seattle Children’s Hospital. Evans even showed up dressed as his on-screen Avengers superhero, Captain America.
