Paris Hilton’s Engagement
As if life wasn’t already going well for Paris Hilton, the reality star can scratch “wife” off her goals for the new year! In an Instagram post from January 2, Hilton shared several pics of her fiancé, American actor/model Chris Zylka.
“I said Yas! So happy & excited to be engaged to the love of my life,” Hilton wrote in the caption. “My best friend & soulmate. Perfect for me in every way. So dedicated, loyal, loving & kindhearted. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world! You are my dream come true! Thank you for showing me that fairytales do exist. [sic]”
According to People, the pair were posing for photos in Aspen, Colorado, when Zylka (who starred on HBO’s The Leftovers) got down on one knee and proposed with a 20-carat pear-shaped diamond.
Zylka had diamond expert/celebrity jeweler, Michael Greene design the ring, which was put on rush to make! According to Green (who gave all the details on the pear shaped stunner to People), the ring was made in two days, a process that normally takes three weeks!
According to Greene, “He wanted it before Aspen, because if the opportunity was there, which it was, he wanted to ask Paris in Aspen.” He added, “When he came to pick it up and opened up the box he literally started shaking. He said, ‘I can’t stop shaking.’ It was like taking a good size man and bringing him down to a boy size giggle. He’s a super nice guy.”
And Paris Hilton herself was stunned when he popped the question with the gorgeous gigantic rock, which is set in a platinum split shank halo band. “The ring was so gorgeous and sparkling,” Hilton told People. “I was shaking as I put it on. It is the most beautiful ring that I have ever seen!”
