However, Muñoz competed in the Miss Dominican Republic 2017 and was declared the winner of the pageant! The event’s organizer, Magali Febles apologized for the fact that she was crowned in her swimsuit and not in a dress. Febles explained, “We had a draw, we were prepared for six finalists and now there are seven, so we prefer to leave the girls in Swimwear.”
Reportedly, before the pageant, it was declared that as the winner of Miss Dominican Republic 2017, she would not just represent her country in the Miss Universe 2017 pageant, but she would also get a scholarship to study acting in Mexico!
