First Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, then Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, then Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, and now yet another celebrity couple is said to be pulling the plug on their marriage—Megan Fox, 29, and Brian Austin Green, 42, have reportedly separated, putting an end to their marriage after five years.
Us Weekly reports that, according to sources close to the couple, their marriage has been on the rocks for quite some time and that it was Megan Fox who ultimately called it quits around six months ago.
Other sources are claiming that the problems in their marriage stemmed from Megan Fox’s acting career. The Daily Mail is reporting that Green was supposedly upset about his wife always being away from him and their two children (two-year-old Noah and 18-month-old Bodhi), and it led to a lot of fighting in the relationship. However, this is all still speculation, as there has been no word yet from the celebrity couple’s reps, and neither Fox nor Green has commented on the news of their split.
When Brian Austin Green—most famously known for playing David Silver on the ‘90s show Beverly Hills, 90210—first started dating Megan Fox back in 2004, a lot of people didn’t think it would last; after all, she was a young, up-and-coming Hollywood star, and he was seen more as an older actor who was trying to stay on top. But the celebrity couple persisted. Green actually proposed in 2006, but their engagement got called off shortly after, because at 23, Fox felt like she was too young to get married. However, he popped the question again in 2009 and the couple tied the knot less than a month later in Hawaii.
