Liberty Ross is finally moving on from her cheating ex-husband, Rupert Sanders. The 36-year-old model and actress recently stepped out in Hollywood with her new fiancé, Jimmy Iovine, and flashed a sizable rock.
Red-lipped, the British model looked noticeably happy as she clung to her beau (who’s 26 years her senior), just a few days after Us Weekly confirmed the celebrity couple’s engagement. The pair initially started “spending time together” in February 2013. That same month, she confessed to Associated Press that she was “listening to her heart.”
One month later, she officially filed for a divorce from Sanders, her husband of 11 years. The filmmaker was caught cheating on his wife with Kristen Stewart, the star of his film Snow White and the Huntsman. Photos of their highly publicized affair were released by Us Weekly in July 2012, which is ultimately what prompted Ross to move ahead with the divorce.
In December 2013, Ross admitted to Vanity Fair, “I have no words to describe what we went through.” She went on to explain that the end of their marriage felt something like a “rebirth.”
The former couple has two young children together: a daughter Skyla, and a son, Tennyson. During their legal separation, Ross asked for joint custody and spousal support, as well as legal fees.
However, time has appeared to heal all of Ross’ wounds. Getting candid with Harper’s Bazaar in September last year, she said, “Today, I feel happier than I’ve ever felt, and I’m in such a great place.” Advocating forgiveness and compassion, she revealed that she’s moved on from Sanders entirely. “I believe that it’s good to be true to who you are,” she added.
Her new husband-to-be, Jimmy Iovine, is estimated to be worth at least $950 million, thanks in part to co-founding Beats By Dre (which got bought out by Apple for $3.2 billion) and Interscope Records.
