De Oliveira Stars in Netflix’s In the Tall Grass
The Canadian star took her first acting class when she was still a student in Toronto. She also trained in dance at an art school.
She began modeling when she was 14, after she was scouted on the street. But she really wanted to be an actress and got herself an agent when she entered college.
De Oliveira’s efforts paid off and she debuted in 2012, in an episode of the USA Network series Covert Affairs. She went on to appear in more TV shows and short films, like Nikita, Gothica, Onto Us, iZombie, and Acquainted.

In the Tall Grass co-author Joe Hill’s comic book series, Locke & Key, has been made into a live adaptation series by Netflix. And De Oliveira plays the demonic spirit, Dodge, who forms the central conflict of the series.

De Oliveira Is Dating Reign’s Jonathan Keltz
Jonathan Keltz from Reign, Entourage, and 21 & Over starred alongside De Oliveira in Acquainted in 2018. But they had been dating for a while before that.
Speaking about how Acquainted came about, De Oliveira said, “I worked at a restaurant with Natty’s [Zavitz, director of Acquainted] girlfriend at the time, and this movie is sort of loosely based on their experience. She was my manager at the restaurant, so that’s how I met Natty. Then Natty and I did a short together, and then Jonathan (Keltz) came into the mix, he produced the movie and is my boyfriend. That’s how we all met each other, either through Reign or this restaurant at which a lot of us worked at.”
