If you think soccer moms are bad, then you probably haven’t met LaVar Ball. The 49-year-old basketball dad has been in the spotlight lately for claiming that he could beat Michael Jordan at his own game, one-on-one. No, that wasn’t a typo, LaVar really said it, and that’s not all—he’s looking for a major payday for his sons that’s even bigger than Jordan’s! If you want the full story, then have a look at our LaVar Ball wiki.

Ever since LaVar’s claims on Monday, via USA Today’s Josh Peter, basketball fans have been looking for more information on LaVar Ball’s net worth, LaVar Ball’s wife and LaVar Ball as a father.

LaVar Ball’s Stats

LaVar is a 49-year-old basketball dad, who stands at six-foot-six and weighs 270 pounds. LaVar played for Washington State University during the 1987-1988 season and averaged 2.2 points and 2.3 rebounds per game, before her was transferred to California State University, Los Angeles, in search of more playing time. Meanwhile, Jordan averaged 35 points and 5.5 rebounds for the Chicago Bulls that same season, and is still known as the greatest ball player in basketball history.

Always count your blessings and be thankful for what you have !????

Hot Air vs. Air Jordan?

LaVar isn’t exactly known to be humble and stated that he could beat Jordan in a one-on-one game. That’s a pretty bold statement!

“Back in my heyday, I would kill Michael Jordan one-on-one,’’ said LaVar.

“I would just back (Jordan) in and lift him off the ground and call a foul every time he fouls me when I do a jump hook to the right or the left,” LaVar said. “He cannot stop me one-on-one. He better make every shot ‘cause he can’t go around me. He’s not fast enough. And he can only make so many shots outside before I make every bucket under the rim.”

The Ball Sons

LaVar and his wife Tina, a middle school physical education teacher, are the parents of three sons: UCLA freshman Lonzo, high school senior LiAngelo, and high school sophomore LaMelo. Both LiAngelo and LaMelo are committed to attending UCLA like their older brother and currently attend Chino Hills High School in California.

LaVar Ball’s Net Worth

There’s no exact number for LaVar’s net worth, but his lifestyle would suggest that he’s living well. LaVar is a self-employed personal trainer, and both Lonzo and LiAngelo drive $100,000 BMW’s. Lavar also sells T-shirts, hoodies and other sports apparel on the family website, Big Baller Brand.

LaVar is Looking to Make More than Jordan

We’ve already established how confident LaVar is when it comes to his sons, and now he wants big money to match that big mouth! LaVar hopes (and we stress “hopes”) to market his sons for no less than $1.0 billion! Once again, he’s in competition with Jordan.

“A billion dollars, it has to be there,” Ball said. “That’s our number, a billion, straight out of the gate. And you don’t even have to give it to me all up front. Give us $100 mil over 10 years [sic],” said LaVar.

He hasn’t decided whether or not he’s going to partner with Under Armour, Adidas or Nike—just as long as he gets that amount. Sounds like he wants to model himself after Kris Jenner!

LaVar Has an Entourage

LaVar clearly has big things planned for his sons and he plans on marketing them one by one. His entourage includes: Darren Moore, a family friend who keeps tabs on Lonzo and goes to practice with him, a photographer and videographer who chronicles the family’s life (in the possibility of airing a reality TV show) and Alan Foster, a family friend who is helping create a signature basketball shoe. Looks like we have a star pupil from the Kris Jenner School of Management! We’re sure LaVar has already come up with a few names for his potential reality show.

LaVar Ball vs. Le’Veon Bell

Critics aren’t the only ones getting a good laugh at LaVar’s challenge to Jordan—so is Pittsburgh Steelers running back, Le’Veon Bell!

Bell tweeted: “lol man, LaVar Ball really will say anything for attention…so you can beat Michael Jordan 1 on 1 in both y’all primes man?! I’m done. [sic]”

It truly is as ridiculous as it sounds, and Ball’s got nothing but balls to call out the king of basketball himself. To be honest, we hope Mike accepts his challenge!
