Kishele Shipley was born on April 10, 1989 to Cathy Marie Shipley and Kenneth Shipley. She and her sisters, Kasandra and Kenisha, were raised in San Diego, California.

Her sister Kasandra graduated from Herbert Hoover High School. Kenisha studied Environmental Science-Hydrology and is a graduate student researcher at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in San Diego.
While most of the Shipleys live in different parts of California now, Kishele is in Canada where her beau, Kawhi Leonard, plays for the Toronto Raptors. She previously moved to Texas, where Leonard played seven seasons with the San Antonio Spurs.

Shipley Met Leonard in College
Kishele reportedly went to college at San Diego State University, which is also her father’s alma mater. Per reports, she acquired a degree in public administration and worked in human resources before moving from San Diego to Texas.
California native Leonard also went to San Diego State University before he was selected by the Pacers (and quickly traded to the Spurs) in the 2011 NBA Draft. The couple reportedly met in college and have been together since.
Shipley and Leonard Have Two Children
Like her famous beau, Shipley is a private person and is not active on social media. So, there’s very little known about their relationship. It’s rumored that they are married, but there’s no confirmation of this information.
The couple also keep their children out of the limelight. They have a daughter, Kaliyah, who was born in 2016. Very few photographs of Kawhi and his daughter have surfaced in recent history.
In March 2019, Leonard was MIA when the Raptors were playing against the Chicago Bulls. The last time he was missing games, Leonard left the Spurs for the Raptors. So fans were naturally uneasy by his absence.
Turns out, there was nothing to be afraid of. Leonard was reportedly with Shipley who was giving birth to their second child.
According to reports, they welcomed their second child, a son, in March 2019. The name of the newborn Leonard is not known.
