Keysi Sayago’s Family and Home Life
Born Keysi Mairin Sayago Arrechedera on October 6, 1993, in Venezuela’s lively and culture-rich capital city of Caracas, Keysi came from very humble beginnings. Like a lot of her fellow competitors, however, she was able to work hard and pull herself up by the bootstraps in order to achieve great things in life. In fact, Keysi Sayago, age 24, has already earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Experimental University of the Armed Forces in Los Teques, Miranda, Venezuela. This is where she currently lives and works to further her career and subsequently help remedy the plight of the people in her community by rolling up her sleeves (literally) and playing an integral role as a humanitarian.
Maybe that’s why there hasn’t been much mention about Keysi Sayago’s boyfriend or if she even has one at this point! We imagine that maintaining a romantic relationship would be extremely difficult giving the demanding nature of her studies and title of Miss Universe Venezuela. As for Keysi Sayago’s family, not much is known about her relatives or parents; however, she has mentioned that she was raised primarily by her grandparents.
Humanitarian Work
In the past few years, Venezuela has endured a massive oil and financial crisis with the cost of oil rapidly decreasing. This has been devastating for the Latin nation, whose main economical export lies heavily in the oil industry. As a result, a large portion of the population has suffered the consequences and currently lives below the poverty line due to corrupt leadership and lack of financial aid, not to mention being ravaged by severe environmental conditions.
As the current Miss Universe Venezuela, Keysi Sayago is dedicated to spending her time helping people in need by filling much-needed volunteer positions at soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and even providing and distributing supplies to vulnerable areas of Venezuela whenever possible. According to her Facebook page, she’s vowed that “if [she] takes home the Miss Universe crown, her mission would be to help those in need and promote well-being in order to have a better society.”
