Kevin Hunter Married in 1997
Kevin Hunter was born in 1972 and is reportedly from Ontario, Canada. He met Williams in 1994 at a skating rink.
Williams had come out of her short-lived first marriage back then. In her book, Wendy’s Got the Heat, she referred to her first husband, a salesperson, with the pseudonym, Robert Morris III. She said they separated after five months of marriage and finalized their divorce after a year and a half of proceedings.
Williams and Hunter would tie the knot on November 30, 1997. Their son, Kevin Hunter Jr., was born in 2000.
Kevin Hunter Is Williams’ Manager and Producer
Kevin Hunter Sr. assumed the role of Williams’ manager when she was hired by a Philadelphia radio station in her early career. On the radio show, she was open about her personal life, including her miscarriages.
Williams and Hunter launched their reality TV company together, Wendy Williams Productions. He helped her launch The Wendy Williams Show and served as its executive producer.
There have been many reports that Hunter is “controlling” behind the scenes. Hunter Allegedly Cheated on Williams
Kevin Hunter is no stranger to sex scandals; from sexual harassment suits to leaked sex tapes, the man has been at the center of it all. But the most damaging to his marriage was when he allegedly cheated on Wendy Williams.
In an interview with VladTV, Williams revealed that the first time she caught her husband cheating on her was in 2001, shortly after their son was born. She said she overheard his late-night phone call with the other woman and hired a private investigator to find out about her.
Back then, she said that she wouldn’t have stuck with an unfaithful man when she was younger. However, they somehow worked through their difficult personal and professional partnership. Williams said then, Hunter’s cheating episode made their marriage stronger.
“No, I’m not back to the girl that I was before him because when you get stung like that you never go back to who you were, only a fool does,” said Williams. “But I love him and he loves me.”
But allegedly, that wasn’t the last time Hunter cheated on his wife. There were reports that Hunter was reportedly shacking up with another woman, a massage therapist named Sharina Hudson. There were also reports that Hudson gave birth to their child.
Williams repeatedly denied he was having an affair with the massage therapist and Hudson’s pregnancy. She would use her show’s opener to reiterate “I stand by my guy.”
She once again said she’s sticking with Hunter when she revealed in March she was staying at a sober living house. Hunter and Williams would put on a display of unity on TV and interviews during every setback related to Hunter.
Williams Filed for Divorce
The embattled talk show host showed her blinding round cut diamond ring during her March 4 episode, the day she returned to her show after two months, to emphasize that she’s sticking with her husband.
But in a video posted on her makeup artist’s Instagram, Williams pointedly shows the ring no longer adorns her finger. Not surprisingly, news soon broke that Williams had filed for divorce from Hunter.
Williams reportedly filed for the paperwork in New York City and served Hunter before taping on April 11.
