Kerry Washington may be happily married (to former NFL player Nnamdi Asomugha), but that doesn’t mean she can’t still have her own celebrity crush. She recently revealed who that lucky man might be, and you’d never expect whose name she dropped—Pope Francis!

Let’s backtrack. Almost everyone on Twitter today has been commenting on Pope Francis’ visit to the White House, which actually also marked his first visit to the United States. Many people were impressed with his address to the crowd and his strong message regarding the issue of climate change.

Obviously captivated by his visit, Washington—who oddly enough plays Olivia Pope on her hit show Scandal—tweeted, “Pope Francis might be my celebrity crush,” along with the hashtag “ImNotEvenCatholic.” In her post, Washington also included a tweet from ABC News with the following quote from President Obama to Pope Francis: “You remind us that the Lord’s most powerful message is mercy.”

Obviously intended to be a joke, most of the followers who commented on Washington’s post agreed with her sentiment, with the exception of a couple commenters who felt that the post was inappropriate, given the religious context. Nonetheless, it was retweeted over 250 times and favorited almost 800 times.

Another celebrity who shared her excitement over the Pope’s visit was Eva Longoria. The Desperate Housewives star posted a series of pictures on her Instagram account as she and her sister waited for his arrival at the White House. For her last Instagram post, a picture of the two sisters sitting in front of the White House holding up mini American flags, Longoria wrote, “A yr ago I asked my sister Liza ‘who do you most want to meet in the world?’ She said ‘the Pope’. And here we are! [sic]”
