For those who have been waiting patiently, your wait is now over. DNCE singer Joe Jonas finally comments on Gigi Hadid’s relationship with Zayn Malik. The breakup between Jonas and model Hadid ended on a sour note, but Jonas was ready to tell all in an interview with the Daily Mirror.
“I think it’s interesting that she moved on so quickly, I mean it was definitely very quick,” Jonas told the Mirror.
Jonas was silent about Hadid’s new relationship before, and the only clue we got about his response to it all was his deleting picture of Malik, Hadid, Kanye West, and himself from his Instagram. The photo of the group had been captioned with “#SQUAD.”
Jonas commented further on how he’s always compared to Malik now that he’s dating Jonas’ ex-girlfriend.
“It’s comical that I’m compared to him. That dude and I have been compared for years; I think it’s just funny. To be honest I haven’t really listened to his music, but he can sing well.”
Classy move Jonas—commenting on Malik’s songs while not caring about him at all. As you can tell, Jonas doesn’t seem very bothered, and we’re sure he won’t stay single for long. Half the time stars are dating someone and we don’t even know it. For now, the “Cake By the Ocean” singer is focusing on his music. He’s also going to be an uncle again, thanks to his older brother Kevin, who is having a second child with wife Danielle. (Congratulations, by the way!)
As for Hadid, news broke that the model will be hosting this year’s Much Music Video Awards (MMVAs) in Toronto, Canada on Sunday June 19.
